* out of 5 Review: Maybeline eye studio dou felt tip eyeliner

Are you F****** kidding me? Oh HELL NO!! Just when I was trying to give felt tip eyeliners another chance. As you may recall one of the last blogs I posted was of the review of the Loreal super slim eyeliner, which I love. Well that opened the window for me to think that I might get lucky again and find another felt tip eyeliner to love. I decided to get this one because I saw on the commercial in which it says it is supposed to be versatile and be able to make two lines, one think one thin one. I thought was a cool concept... I should have not even wasted my money on this one cause it was awful! To tell you that I never got it to come out to any shade that was dark enough for me to even try it on my eye!  When I first opened it I tried it on my hand and it was so see through  and watery that I didn't trust it to stay where I  put it. The back of the packaging says to shake well, so I did what it said. The shaking helped a little but not really that much. I can't post the pic cause I think in a rage I might have thrown it away- but trust me the whole back side of the packaging was filled with failed attempts. I spent about 8 bucks at Wal-Mart for it and if I would have found the receipt I would have took it back. But the good thing is that I can now tell you guys about it. Don't waste your money, it was not worth mine. If you have gotten this eyeliner and loved it, kudos to you but for me I will not be purchasing  this again. EVER!

New Jordana Best Volume extreme Mascase brush Vs Benefit Bad Gal brush

So in the video I did today I happed to mention as soon as I opened up this new Jordana best volume mascara that it reminded me of a Benefit mascara (in the video I said They're Real but I misspoke it's the Bad Gal mascara I was thinking about-I do not own They're Real mascara) In any case as you can see from the picture the Jordana is BIGGER and also has a slightly different shape. The Benefit is easier to work with because of the taper at the end and also the angle of the taper of the brush is better in my opinion. I will go on record to say that I don't see myself repurchasing the Benefit or the Jordana best volume mascara any time soon just because the original Jordana Best Lash Extreme is my favorite and it's only $2.99 @ HEB. That's it for today. Let me know if you have any questions, as always I will try to answer the best I can. :)

Ask yourself...(push yourself)

So I'm on vacation this week from my "pay my bills job", and even though I do have things I have to do that are set in stone, I'm trying to prove to myself that I can and want to this makeup thing everyday of my life. I have committed to making  a video a day for my channel everyday this week. So far I have done two videos in two days and I have three days left. I'm happy because if I can prove it to myself then I know that I can do it. Three more days to go. If I can do that will be a great start for me. You know how they say that the harshest critic might be yourself for me that is the case sometimes so here's to proving it me that I CAN DO what I want to do because life it short. You have to do what makes you happy, right?  Makeup makes me happy. :)

Milani Uptown Mauve Swatches

Swatched on the hand

On the lips

My first impression of this lipstick is that it is very moisturizing and pretty pigmented as well. I have only wore it once or twice so that's all I can say for now but so far so good. Full review on this product is pending after I make up my mind. Let me know if you have any questions. TTYL,

Loreal Infalable slim Eyeliner Review 4 out of 5 ****

I put this in my recent July favorites video and so I wanted to do a full on review of this product for you guys. So here it is. Let me give you a bit of a back ground on my felt tip eyeliner experience. My experience with felt tip eyeliners is very limited in recent years. Yes when I was in high school I used them but that was a LONG time ago and so I will only tell you about my recent history with them. In the last few years I have only bought two different ones. The Avon felt pen and the Jordana Fabuline. Looking back on those I think I would rate those a 2 star product, maybe not even that. Those really put me off of felt tip eyeliners so I really didn't care to try anymore until I kept seeing the commercial for this one. Having said all that I picked this one up, knowing that it was more than I paid for the other ones I just mentioned. So since the day I first put it one I loved it! It does what it says. It stays put and it provides a very thin line if that's your thing. And you can make a thick line if you like that too! It stays on and provided your eyes don't water will be on until you take it off. The line itself is pretty black and pigmented. Which is one of the reasons I didn't like the Avon or Jordana liners. When I made my favorites video I mentioned that I thought it was drying out but now I have come to the conclusion that it's not drying out it's more like the tip has collected some of my oils off my skin that it doesn't let the product seap through the tip and made less product to come out. Similar to the effect when you wet your potted eye shadows they build up residue on them, sometimes not letting you use them anymore . I happened to use it today in the morning and pressed the belly of the felt tip on my upper lash line (using the side) and it worked fine that way. Product worked beautifully as it had when I first started using it. So it's not drying out, it's just got a dirty tip. So now I'm forced to make a rating on it knowing that it's just me and my skin making it do this. Because I have yet to hear this problem coming from someone else. SO this rating is purly for me and my experience it works for me great but not awesome but its because of ME and my oily lids...lol. I hope that make sense. Anyways the good news is that it has opened my eyes as far as felt tip eyeliners go and I will be on the quest to find one that works better for me. When I find a better one I will let you know but for now this one will due until it dries out. :)

Xiomara

**update 08-15-2013: I totally forgot to mention something in my review which I think is awesome about it. The line it creates is not shiny...I know that I have heard that from other felt tips liners but this one does NOT do that. Just had to let know you about that too because for me that is a great thing.

Pencil eyeliner swatches: Prestige total intesity eyeliners

This is my favorite pencil eyeliner to date. I like it better than the Milani liquefy because this one doesn't dry out as much. If I ever find one that's better I will let you know... :)

Ulta Super shiny Lip butter

As you can see this lip butter has a good deal of pigmentation, and as a first impression it gave me pretty good moisture. I like it so far, looking forward to maybe adding so more to my collection. Thanks,

Review: Milani Eye Shadow Primer 4.5 out of 5

This is a no JOKE kind of primer. I loved it from the very first day I wore it. I have had it now for about two weeks and it has performed consistently for the whole time and to top it off it's from the DRUGSTORE! that is absolutely amazing. Ok I have to tell you that As I mentioned in a few videos. I have a job to which I sometimes have to be there about 11 hours. It's a long day for me. And I have tried many, many primers since I have started on YouTube and I have not found out that last that long. A long time maybe about 8-9 hours yet never ever one that last my all days. So before I bought this I was using the MAC Painterly or the MAC Groundwork. In any case those do not last that long on me, maybe cause of the heat or maybe cause of my oily lids or just the shape of my eye. In any case this last longer than any primer I have tried. Even the Urban Decay doesn't last as long as this! So yes I am please to say I'm giving it a 4.5 out of 5 stars simply because I have not tried ALL primer in the world and I'm hoping one day I can give a 5 to the best primer in the world for me.. .when I do I will not hesitate to let you guys know about it until then this gets a 4.5 out of 5 stars from me. But also the satisfaction of being my primer of choice until then.

Review: Hard Candy All Glossed up In Chic 4 out of 5

I Picked up this lip stain at Wal-Mart the other day because I wanted to see how it compared with the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains. I have taken it to work for a few days this week and I fee like I have gathered enough information to make have an initial impression of this product.  Let me start point by point:
1). The price: Hard Candy is exclusive to Wal-Mart but the price that was on the display was $4 but when it rang up it  said $5 but still less the Revlon which can be pricey especially if you buy those at the drugstore without a sale.
2) Amount of product: 3.2g as opposed to the Revlon 2.7g so you are getting a little more product with the Hard Candy.
3) Texture: I must say that this product feel silkier therefore a tiny bit more moisturizing than the Revlon. It's not sticky at all.
4).Packaging: both are twist up with a cap. The Revlon has a coordinating colored cap the Hard Candy has a clear cap to let you see the product color. I'm leaning towards the clear cap just because the clear you can see the actually product. The Revlon you can't see the product and I have heard some people saying the outside might not be the same as the product itself. (although the three Revlon Just Bittens that I have do match)
5)Taste & smell: Hard Candy all glossed up has no taste but a rancid, old lipstick kind of smell. Revlon has a minty smell and taste.
6.) Longevity: I wore this to work a few days and I have noticed it does not stay on long at all. In my experience the most it has stayed on is 2-4 hours in total counting the stained part. Now as you can see from the picture is most certainly NOT a dark color at all so that might have something to do with it. I would have bought another one that was darker to try it out IF it were not for one thing. The smell. Honestly I was not a fan of the smell while I was applying it. It smelled rancid. After I applied it I didn't notice the smell. But for that reason alone I will not be purchasing any more of these. I have no problem with the Revlon's minty smell. If you don't mind the smell then go for the Hard Candy one, you do get more product for your money and overall it does make your lips feel moisturized and that is what it claims to do. I don't see anywhere on the packaging that they advertise it to stain for hours and hours when clearly it doesn't so I would rate it a 4 out of 5 just for the smell.

Loreal Fairest Nude Vs: Black Radiance 5115

In one of my last videos I had mentioned that this new lip color I got at Wal-Mart reminded me of L'Oreal's Fairest Nude just a few shades darker so I decided to swatch them so here you go.
On the hand they look nothing a like.

But on the lips they black radiance is just deeper and a little more rosy.

You tell me what you think...

Cecilia Before and After

Before

After

This is Cecilia. She a I have been friends for over ten years. She let me do her makeover a LONG time ago when I wasn't making videos out of the makeovers. In any case she is wearing a grey on the lid and a warm crease color and a matte highlight under the brown bone. I doesn't care too for lipstick so I gave her a peachy lipgloss and a peachy blush. What do you think?

Vanessa Before and After

Before

After

This is Vanessa. While we were talking about what kind of make up she likes she told me that she likes more natural makeup so I tried  to give her that while still giving her a more polished look. I went with peachy lips and cheeks and for the eyes I did soft brown matte color. The eyes are the windows to the soul so of course went with lots of mascara and I did line the upper lash line with black gel eyeliner. Looking back I think it would have been a little better had I lined the eyes with a brown pencil and smudged it out a bit, but we live and we learn, right? what do you think?

Before and After Jenny

Before

After

On Jenny's eyes she a gunmetal color all over her lid, and peachy color as a transition color in her crease and a matte light cream color on her brow bone. One her lips she is wearing a shimmery peach pink natural color. One here face she is wearing Revlon color stay and a shimmering peachy blush. I did this look on here a WHILE ago and that's why I don't exactly remember the names of all these products. So sorry about that but you tell me what you think of the results.

Bella's Big Day 04-12-2013

I was lucky enough to be a part of my friend Bella's wedding in April and I wanted to show you guys the pictures from her wedding that showed my work.  I had to go to work that day so I was running around sw Houston trying to get there on time so I did not take these photos of her. My friend Keiry from KC Photos was awesome enough to provide me with what she thought were the best to show off my work. I did her makeup and you can judge for yourself what you think of it.
